P.L insurance had a very successful year. In addition to the normal 17½ % holiday loading, they decided to pay their employees a ‘thank-you bonus’ based on the number of years service. They paid this at the same time as they paid the holiday loading.
Katrina is paid $ 1912 per fortnight and has worked for the company the last 7 years (her thank-you bonus as a percentage of annual salary is 0.65%).
a) how much is Katrina’s ‘thank-you’ bonus?
b) Calculate the total amount Katrina was paid for her 4 weeks holiday.
I’ve tried this and the answers I’m getting aren’t the same as what is in my booklet.
