domestic travel insurance question by Want: Lost income in checked in bag with Pegasus Airlines. Anything at all I can do?
Hi I just flew with Pegasus Airlines yesterday. In my checked-in bag, was my women handbag inside. There was generally nothing there except for a 100 dollar bill.
Yesterday when I got to Istanbul, I observed that my ALL the zips to the handbag had been opened and the 100 dollar bill was stolen. No doubt it had to be one particular of the airport or airline’s employees because I personally hanged on to the bag till I checked it in.
Other than that there was no other damage nor loss. I am quite upset, yes I know a 100 dollar bill is nothing at all to some but just the thought of the dishonesty going close to the airport staff makes me furious. I accepted the truth that I shouldn’t have put any money in the checked-in bag but I by no means thought a folded note hidden in my handbag place in a huge bag, would easily get stolen.
My getaway was a package deal purchased from a travel agency and I doubt there was any travel insurance coverage since it was low-cost and domestic but it there Anything at all I can do right here?

File a report with the airlines, that’s all you can do. They most likely searched the luggage and nicely, there’s a excellent cause not to leave any cash anyplace.

But I don’t think there’s much you can achieve other than getting your concern heard since even if your bags were insuranced I don’t think cash money is ever included in those air travel insurances.
Oh and you could also make a complaint to the travel agency that hooked you up with Pegasus Airlines. If they receive complaints like this, there’s a pretty good chance that they’ll do something about it.
